Celebrating a Decade of CMSE Excellence
The Department of Computational Mathematics, Science and Engineering (CMSE) at Michigan
State University is excited to host a joint event to celebrate students' and faculty
research and excellence and department's 10th year anniversary.
We will be hosting a three-day joint conference, Workshop on Frontiers in Computational
Science and Engineering: Celebrating a Decade of CMSE Excellence and The 5th Data
Science Student Conference (DISC 2025), on Aug 18–20, 2025, bringing together undergraduate and graduate students, postdoctoral researchers,
and faculty from MSU and other U.S. institutions to engage in interdisciplinary exchange
across data and computational sciences.
The three-day conference aims to bring together undergraduate and graduate students, postdoctoral researchers, and faculty from MSU and other U.S. institutions to engage in interdisciplinary exchange across data and computational sciences.
Participants will have the opportunity to present or attend talks spanning a wide range of computational disciplines, including:
- Algorithms for Computing and AI
- Computational Mathematics and Physics
- Interdisciplinary Computing Education
- AI for Biomedicine and Bioinformatics
- Industrial and Quantum Computing
- Image Processing and Analysis
- Inverse Problems and Scientific Computing and more
Our conference will feature key note speakers and presenters, such as Dr. Jack Xin (University of California, Irvine), Dr. Stanley Osher (University of California, Los Angeles), Dr. Yufeng Liu (University of Michigan), joined by MSU and CMSE faculty and CMSE alumni.
We invite students and postdocs to sign up for this opportunity to attend or present
their research at our conference. Please sign up at the following link as soon as
